                                                    airlines have had to adapt in order to survive, some have been more successful than others; some airlines have failed for protection under bankruptcy regulation and carried on trading, others  
                                                
                                                    have simply folded.  	In a time when there are likely to be high levels of price sensitivity it would appear that the low cost airlines, such as Easyjet and  
                                                
                                                    Germanwings will be well placed to compete as they provide a good that is at a lower price point which is, theoretically, demanded by the market (Nellis and Parker, 2006).  
                                                
                                                    However, there is a falling demand across all areas of the industry, and firms have to adapt (Mint\berg et al, 2003).         When
