By empowering an individual with his or her own ability to maintain wellness, homeopathic medicine strives to incorporate healthful living with positive mindful choices. Within the world of physical and mental wellness, there are two very different approaches to the same goal: homeopathic and allopathic. The two vastly diverse programs offered around the world provide similar benefits; however, it is the road taken to achieve these benefits that greatly differ. Allopathic medicine is geared more toward the traditional, pharmaceutical therapy that has sustained throughout the centuries. Homeopathic medicine, on the other hand, utilizes a whole body, noninvasive approach to aid in the bodys recuperation. Granted, both entities have their specific place within the inner workings of overall wellness, yet their diversity maintains them as separate practices (Coulter, 1988). The fundamental concept behind homeopathic medicine is partly to treat existing conditions in a natural and interactive manner, while at the same time working toward prevention. While the Medical Association has typically had little tolerance for the intrusion it discerns homeopathy to be, conclusions on the influence of homeopathic medicine have shown an upsurge with respect to its acceptance among both the allopathic medical community and the general public.
