health services for veterans in the area ("VA", 2009). The original layout of the outpatient clinic was as a 10,000 square foot facility located in the Mainland Crossing Shopping
Center near the primary healthcare canter for the University of Texas ("Texas", 2011). It contains twelve examination rooms equipped to provide physical care, mental health care, and womens services, as
well as on-site facilities for radiology, X-ray, telemedicine, and so on ("Texas", 2011). To the best of the facilitys capacity, it strives to provide services for veterans in keeping with
existing resources ("Federal", 2010). In order to incorporate a physical therapy room into the floor plan, a new plan has been drafted: This floorplan was
chosen because it incorporates all the required elements the facility needs. It utilizes a flow plan essential to healthcare structure wherein patients enter the facility in the waiting room, with
an attended desk where they can check in. Patients who have need of a fountain or restroom are directed immediately across the hall to the restroom and fountain shared with
the staffs break room, far away from the counseling and examination rooms as per keeping with regulatory requirements. The nurses station is situated just before the facility branches into two
main hallways, along either side of which are situated the twelve examination rooms. Each of these are well-equipped with a basic hospital bed, and an array of tools and equipment
to assist in diagnostics and treatment such as x-ray viewers, sterilization equipment, and so on. Storage for wheelchairs and other required equipment is located at one far end of the
