Essay / Research Paper Abstract
A 5 page paper discussing changes the computer age has brought to graphic design. The design abilities central to the success of the graphic designer receive greater expectation than in the past. No longer is it sufficient for a graphic designer to produce a marketing piece showing the product with a smiling consumer standing nearby. Now, such visuals are expected to convey a variety of marketing messages including quality, value and status. The creativity factor of the graphic designer has been highlighted so that it is now one of the most important qualities the designer can bring to work.
