of G. I. Jones Memorial Childrens Hospital, JPS provides a variety of services for child patients, including those for rare and unfortunate diseases such as oncology, radiology, cardiology, and behavioral
services. In this capacity, workers at JPS often interact with sick or dying children, which presents a variety of ethical challenges. This paragraph helps the student present the problem scenario
for this paper. JPS is always a busy institution but as of late, it has faced certain financial problems. Namely, JPS has faced a severe decrease in the number of
insurance and Medicare reimbursements for services rendered. The impacted services are thusly becoming a greater cost and liability to JPS. Accordingly, managers have begun to look into the development of
new infrastructures by which costs can be reduced and the organization can remain solvent. In addition to the reduction in reimbursements, JPS has featured a number of small issues. These
