demeanor. How would this final manager, Mr. Gilroy, effectively assimilate Gerald into the department while at the same time pacifying the other, more amenable workers? It can readily
be argued that Geralds new manager would have to not only incorporate dispute resolution strategies, but also attempt to teach him about the importance of organizational culture. I.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS Mr. Gilroy had only hearsay to go by with regard to Geralds bad attitude; until he was able to assess the situation as it existed in his own
department, his hands were tied as to what he could or could not do. However, it was not long before Gerald gave Mr. Gilroy a glimpse of his short
