leadership assert that empowering employees through the granting of autonomy has the capacity to dramatically improve organizational performance as a whole. This paper will explore the process of employee empowerment
and the impact it can have upon an organization. This paragraph helps the student explain what employee empowerment is. Employee empowerment, generally speaking, is an organizational shift in authority, wherein
some of the authority held exclusively by management in a traditional top-down business structure is instead shared with employees, granting workers a stronger degree of input into the design of
their job. This is handled by increasing responsibilities and accountability, while enabling employees to work together in teams without outside supervision. Through these means, it is believed that employees will
gain firsthand leadership experience and therefore be significantly better equipped to help advance the aims of the organization. Granting employees the authority to have decision-making impact on their own
role in the organization has obvious advantages to the employee. For starters, an employee who has the capacity to change things about his or her job is more likely to
remain committed to that job in times of hardship. In general, he or she is also considered to be more likely to feel a higher sense of job satisfaction, which
drives personal engagement. When employees are personally engaged with their jobs, they tend to view the organizations goals as their own and will be much more committed and motivated to
