The feminist movement has resulted in a considerable disruption in the status quo of world society. While many perceive feminist as running head on head against the male members of society, in reality they are running head on head into the patriarchal system which has been in place practically since the beginning of mans reign on earth. This system consist of much more than just the men who have put it firmly in place, it consist of societal expectations as a whole, societal expectations which are held by men and women alike. The contrast which has resulted in regard to the perception of a womans "place" in society has in effect separated women into two very distinctive cultures. The first of these cultures is the traditional culture of the homemaker and the second is the so-called liberated culture of feminist. Numerous cross cultural problems have occurred as these women try to relate to one another. The solution to these problems is the realization that in reality, there are no clear lines of demarcation between right and wrong. A womans "place" in society is the place that she feels is most comfortable for her. This is true whether an individual woman chooses to take work outside her home as the CEO of the worlds largest corporation or whether she chooses to be a homemaker. Arriving at this solution requires the same problem solving approaches as are necessitated by any other cross cultural problem. Of primary importance in this task is communication.
