the same cannot be said for public education, it is often a lack of funding that is the obstacle, as many educators do want the children to be involved in
state of the art learning. When reviewing articles on computers in the classroom, one issue that may be examined is how computers are utilized in the classroom as it pertains
to learning disabled students. John D. Castellani (2000) addresses the issue in an article entitled "Strategies for integrating the Internet into classrooms for high school students with emotional and learning
disabilities." The article touches on issues concerning Internet use in the classroom in addition to how it may be used to the advantage of children with learning disabilities and emotional
problems (Castellani, 2000). The article begins by addressing the issue in general. The author reports that general educators have been questioning the use of the Internet and whether or not
it can be relevant in terms of the classroom environment (Castellani, 2000). The author reports that studies on the utilization of Internet in the classroom generally will demonstrate that integration
of the net does lead to a rise in access to information (Castellani, 2000). It provides children a way to communicate with experts as well as a method of accessing
additional resources (Castellani, 2000). The end result is greater motivation in the classroom as well as more opportunities for both students and teachers to learn more than they would have
