variety of perspectives related to the issue of cell phone usage in public schools, especially among children of elementary and secondary school ages. The pros and cons associated with bringing
cell phones into such an environment is explored, from the issue of classroom disruption and consequences in psychosocial development to the potentially positive benefits that could be conferred to pedagogical
techniques that openly embrace the integration of technological solutions. A recommendation is culled from weighing these various factors. Summary Certainly, the issue of cell phone usage among
young children has become quite pressing and prominent and requires immediate addressing for a solution to be achieved. A review of literature can be puzzling as different institutions have taken
totally different approaches to the matter of how to handle cell phone usage in schools. Some institutions, such as elementary schools in France, have totally banned cell phones. Others, such
as certain elementary and secondary schools in the United States, have grudgingly accepted the ubiquity of cell phone technology and as such have relented to allowing them on campus, but
with strict regulatory policies in place. Many of the arguments against cell phone usage in schools emphasizes the detrimental effects that cell phones can have by disrupting classroom time or
even on the social development of children who become fixated upon their use. On the other hand, certain studies have shown that teachers and schools that integrate modern technologies into
