good reason. Cancun, one of the jewels of Mexico, has been known for more than 30 years as one of the greatest places to go for vacation. Because of Cancuns
Mayan ruins, as well as the areas lovely beaches (complete with white sand), crystal waters, natural attractions and stunning hotels, this area has long been one that attracts people from
all types of demographics and age groups. As well mention throughout this paper, many peoples first experience with Mexico is through Cancun.
So how does one improve on success when it comes to providing a destination development strategy for Cancun to a local council? On the surface, its difficult to improve on
promoting what is already considered by many to be a paradise. After all, executives in the area are already experienced in building Cancun into a destination location, as evidenced by
the millions of visitors a year. This is not to say, however, that perfection cant be improved upon. There is no such
thing as nirvana - even the most perfect tropical paradise can stand some improvement, and Cancun is no exception. In this report,
the student has been asked to provide analysis and strategy to a local city council on how Cancun can be positioned as an ideal destination for tourism. To do this,
a thorough analysis of whats currently available, along with an analysis of potential challenges and difficulties, would need to be undertaken. After an exhaustive search of much of the available
