anyone a pretty decent snapshot of where a company is headed financially -- whether it be success or ruin. The following four financial and/or accounting records should be examined before
accepting any kind of job: 10K Forms. 10Ks are a companys annual report, and this can tell a job applicant more about
the financial health of the company than almost anything else. A 10K, which is typically issued to investors interested in buying stock or putting money into the company, provides a
full explanation of where a company was financially last year, and why it did well (or didnt). The 10K also provides a good overview of where senior management things the
company will go in the coming year. D&B Credit Reports. The credit health of the company (i.e., how much it can borrow
from a financial institution) is important, as a strong credit history means that financial institutions know the company will pay off its debt in a timely fashion. If the D&B
Credit score isnt very good, the job applicant knows there is a problem -- and could probably count on being out of a job in a fairly short time.
