This can be seen when looking at the issue if universal healthcare. Many publications have printed articles regarding this issue, most of which reflect a particular viewpoint, for example, Business Week appears to support the need for healthcare reform, but not the idea of universal healthcare, with the use of a pragmatic approach, whereas the Washington Post takes a more socially liberal attitude with a high level of support for social responsibility and the provision of universal healthcare, placing it in a social context. Business week lead with the McCain name with is immediately appealing to the politically mind and the supporters of the senator who was a presidential candidate at the time the article was printed. The title text is the largest font in the article, but bolding of text is used to create subheadings which further add to the impression that this is a factual article rather than opinion. The last section of the article is entitles contrasts and criticism, this appears to give balance, but the contents are limited, with a dismal by the opponents and no equivalent factors, such as the costs. The presentation on the Business Week web page is equally bland, the advertising that takes place on the right hand side is undertaken though dynamic content, appearing to be placed by a third party contract, so this has little relevance to the editorial content.
