Ailments were hidden. The book reads something along the lines of a script for The West Wing where the lead character hides his MS diagnosis from the public. After Johns own assassination which is fraught with speculation as to mob ties, or other conspiracies, his brother Robert Kennedy is shot and killed. Ted Kennedy is involved in a scandal where a young girl is drowned and while John Jr. had done well for himself, he and his young wife are killed in a plane crash. However, some of the myths and misinformation to surround Kennedy has more to do with his role as a democratic president than anything else.
