can do. For instance, when trying to prevent workplace violence, employers can use things like the implementation of cash handling policies, physical separation of customers from the workers with bullet
resistant enclosures, and increasing the lighting in the work area and outside of the workplace (Fisher & Lab, 2010). Other efforts include the use of surveillance equipment like cameras, and
the implementation of alarm systems (Fisher & Lab, 2010). Geographic location devices are also useful tools (Fisher & Lab, 2010). Such recommendations are good for large workplaces, but can also
be used on an individual level. People can protect their homes as well with such efforts. Examples abound as to how these devices may be used. A wealthy entrepreneur for
example may want to protect his own life by installing cameras around his property, using bullet proof glass for his automobile and aircraft or yacht, and using equipment to prevent
his telephone information from being compromised. Today, celebrities have to worry about their cell phone messages and pictures being intercepted, something that is equated with new technology. Still, this is
an old problem. Other issues concern personal protection from biological agents. This is something that largely affects the medical community but may also be relevant for law enforcement. Police officers
generally collect blood samples at the scenes of a crime and should use protection. Even ordinary citizens might want to be careful if in fact they happen upon an event
