Being more in touch with death puts people more in touch with life, and by coming to terms with ones mortality, individuals can bypass the social stigma that is inherently attached to the concept of death. PREPARING FOR DEATH: EMOTIONALLY The manner in which ones realization of mortality influences the psychological, sociological and physical conditions is quite vast in its capacity, particularly for adults and the elderly. One of the most significant signs of this influence is the suicidal thoughts that enter the minds of those adults and elderly who are in the throes of a potentially life-threatening situation. Coming to terms with death is not an easy task, no matter if one is in adulthood or at the onset of old age. Talking about death and the issues that surround this event is never a simple effort. Many books that deal with this subject do so in such a way that ends up coming across as patronizing and ineffective.
