Joyner (2002) points out how limited research on the presence/impact of small business ethics and social responsibility precludes a definitive understanding of the role these components play as compared to large corporations. The authors findings illustrate a similar outcome as the textbooks concept by indicating how ethics, small business and society must work in tandem or there will be constant friction.
