be task roles such as facilitating the outcome of a plan, or actually planning an event. Roles include those who initiate ideas or an initiator, those who provide information or
who are information providers. There are also those who record the group activities and is somewhat of a secretary and then there is often an individual who seeks out opinions
and may be called an information seeker. In fact, there are many roles in terms of tasks to be accomplished. Some individuals just fall into the roles described and others
are appointed in a more official manner. There may be a president or secretary who is elected or appointed. Someone who is considered an opinion seeker however may perform
the role unofficially. An individual who is seeking opinions will ask the group something along the following lines: "Is this what we really want to do? Does anyone have another
idea?" By throwing such a question out, a new idea may come forth. In addition to prompting ideas, there are those who will seek specific information instead of opinions.
One might ask: "Does anyone know how much the price of juice is in the Price Club store?" This question may be asked when planning a breakfast for a
firm. The group wants to create a good breakfast at a low price. In order to gather prices for instance, they may assign someone to do the research, but they
also may ask if the knowledge already exists within the group. A student writing on this subject may have played a number of roles in respect to task, inclusive of
