Although it has endured some setbacks, Nike continually rebounds and has reinvents itself. Nikes relatively new interest is in golf balls, a niche that has brought notoriety to the company, and may prove lucrative to this firm that had lost some market share in the sneaker department. Nikes good luck shifted primarily due to Tiger Woodss interest in the ball and also due to the fact that the golf ball sector is rather lucrative. Many other golf companies have decided to begin the design and manufacture of balls. Nike could in fact soon become a leader in this area due to Woodss interest. However, the future of the company in terms of the success of the new ball, remains to be seen. In any event, Nike has always been a significant player in the sports arena and will likely fare well in the future. The ball does however gives it the edge it seems to have needed. In order to capitalize on the new golf ball, Nike would be wise to continue to capture the interests of more golfers. It already has a handful of loyal players which has sparked interest in the nonprofessional realm. Other methods that Nike might want to employ would be to promote and package the balls in new ways and have a greater net presence. Its websites are rather well administered. However, Nike may want to sell balls online and remain a step ahead of some competitors that only sell its prestigious lines in certain shops.
