From a porn star to a child star to a mega movie star, the recall process was filled with glitz, hype and anything but a true political flavor, making it a tremendous object of ridicule. When questioning examining the political science of the recent California election, the candidates and if/how Arnold will be beneficial to California, the student will want to consider the words of Secretary of State Kevin Shelley: "All of us were very aware that we were making history and setting precedent...We worked very hard to make sure that if the state was going to take this unprecedented step, it would take it deliberately and with full confidence that the process had been followed carefully" (Sheppard PG).
