A 6 page paper describing the social and political ramifications of the civil rights violations currently taking place under the current dictatorship in Burma. The author considers the effects of these violations in regards to ethnicity, religion, and the economic status of companies currently doing business in Burma. Because of the current political climate and the effects that brutal troops have on the social climate, many foreign companies have decided to pull out of Burma. But this transition, along with proposed US sanctions, could have very negative effects on the citizens of Burma. Bibliography lists 4 sources.
