In fact, the use of vivid, dynamic, animated visual elements has been viewed as a major change in marketing strategies, and as a result, has defined an important segment of the signage media industry. The signage industry is based on the use of graphic designs and the integration of different models of production. Graphic designs are utilized, though, in both animated, highly technical signage and in conventional static sign post methods, but the use of applied technology determines the substantial shift in this industry. A comparison of conventional static sign post methods and animated digital streaming signage requires an understanding of the transformation of graphic design elements and the integration of new technological advancements. Conventional Static Sign Post Methods Conventional static sign post methods are based on the integration of graphic design elements and the use of a single image sign. Graphic design refers to the use of "graphic elements and text to communicate ideas or information to specific audiences" (Calnon, 2004, p.17). Basically, graphic design is a visual language that aids in conveying the meaning and context of the written word (Calnon, 2004). When this purpose is accomplished successfully, it attracts attention and adds credibility to the whatever message is being conveyed.
