the fact more than the final chapter of the season: World Series Game 5 between the Texas Rangers indomitable Cliff Lee and the San Francisco Giants Tim Lincecum. Pitching
duels in baseball almost always come down to a contest between dominating personalities and there was no exception to be found here. Cliff Lee had the advantage going in to
the World Series of a perfect post-season record, including two stunning victories in this years American League Division series in which he baffled the bats of the Tampa Bay Rays
who had just won the highly competitive American League Ease division and were the favorites to take the contest. That perfect record, however, was shattered in Game 1 of the
World Series when Lee faced the Giants Lincecum and lost. Going into Game 5, he had not just the integrity of a near-perfect record to defend, but a world championship
to win for his team, which had never won a postseason series period, much less advanced to the World Series. In the other dugout, the Giants Tim Lincecum has been
