& Weber (1994) article. One is in Flint, Michigan and is called Genesys Health System that consists of 908 beds and contains many amenities (Weber & Weber, 1994). The president
of the hospital said that the organization had to be involved in assisting people to become healthy and so it planned a 500 acre park that features a hospital (Weber
& Weber, 1994). In that hospital, teams empower self directed employees and there are also a number of offerings for patients (Weber & Weber, 1994). Physician specialists, under this scenario,
can be by a patients bed within ninety seconds (Weber & Weber, 1994). These are just a few things in the plan for Genesys. Another hospital called Palomar, which is
a 333 bed facility in Escondido California did implement a few initiatives, such as cross-training clerical personnel (Weber & Weber, 1994). This facility however only made modest changes. Palomar only
will spend about $50,000 or less to implement the new paradigm (Weber & Weber, 1994). In both cases however, the changes are fitting for a health care organization. Genesys took
on an elaborate task in creating a wellness center where state of the art care can be rendered at a moments notice. While Palomar improved conditions, and retrained staff, it
did not engage in a huge project to overhaul the facility. Both hospitals are embracing current tends to a degree. Applebaum & Wohl (2000) write: "The trend of the
