No longer is time or location a barrier when it comes to finding ones niche market, inasmuch as the Internet has opened up an entirely new marketing tactic. To be sure, merchants are not the only ones to benefit from e-business; by allowing people to buy items from the comfort of their own homes and offices - be it books or automobiles - online commerce has made it possible for busy people to address their purchasing needs at their convenience. Three traditional business environments that have been revolutionized into e-business environments in response to changes in technology, society and markets include banking, retail and education. II. BANKING Technology is making it increasingly easier for people to live, and the banking industry is just one sector of commerce where beating the clock and waiting in long lines are becoming a thing of the past.
