manner in which to reinvent themselves as nearly like he as possible. Benjamin Franklin was not a hypocrite. He followed his own advice and remained true to his
conscious. One only has to read "The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin" in order to understand how the man became great and remained that way to countless numbers of persons.
How did Franklin make himself into the respected man that he was? With supreme faith in rationality, Ben Franklin sought to discover
and to act upon the principles that were universal at the time. Those principles were the ones that governed humanity, nature, and even society itself. Ben Franklin was
a great man, and an honest man. He did not drink, he was a vegetarian, and he lived his life according to what he preached. Ben Franklins teachings
can be learned from even today. If the nations of the world became as committed as Ben Franklin was, the world would be a much better place. He
embodied the spirit of virtue. He tried to make himself into the best person he knew how. He met many people in his lifetime. He learned something
from each of those persons. His extensive reading gave him others views on different subjects. In the fourteen chapters of his autobiography to his son, Franklin gives an
