Even Michael Jackson, who faces more charges of molesting a young boy, has extremely forgiving fans who will love him, no matter what. Though he may not be quite so well-known as Jackson, singer/song-writer/artist and born-again-Christian R. Kelly has kept his fans, despite the fact hes been brought up on criminal charges concerning indecencies with minors - and unlike Jackson, Kelly has had tapes of his "performances" with younger teens circulated around for all to see. While there are those who vilify the singer, there seems to be more fan support than ever out there. Even as experts scratch their collective heads over why this tends to happen, fans still continue to purchase his records and attend his concerts. But why is this? Why does he still continue to receive opportunities for success? And why do his fans continue to support him? In this paper, well first examine what charges R.
